DAN McCONOMY

McConomy is the DJ/Producer and Founder of THE STEREO FLOW, who also holds DJ residencies over the past 18 years at several different elite night clubs in Paris, France while he continues his responsibilities at the helm of TSF MUSIC GROUP. He has also been a regular guest co-host of the Cocktail Rare Groove radio show on RGB/France Radio 2.

As the story usually goes with Dan and his lifetime love affair with music, magical opportunities have created his global journey. In typical McConomy fashion he came to Paris as a six-week DJ replacement for a friend, made a name for himself as a DJ in the City of Love mixing 60 to 70 hours a week and since become a mainstay on the Parisian scene. His mixing talent has led to appearances at the Cannes Film Festival, Bercy Arena in Paris and garnered acclaim as one of the top Parisian Dj's today.

McConomy was born in Montreal and raised in New York/Los Angeles in a music business family. His father managed and produced such stars as Natalie Cole, Peter, Paul and Mary, Dusty Springfield, and Wilson Pickett to name a few of many that gave him the ability to observe recording stars at work in studios and on tour. His Mother danced with the world famous Rockettes of Radio City Music Hall in NYC and then worked for years at Alpha Records (Japan).

Playing drums and piano from the age of five he cut his teeth in local bands in Los Angeles then at the age of 17 interned at Muscle Shoals Recording Studio where he learned the art of recording under the keen eye of Barry Beckett and The Muscle Shoals Rythm Section while working with Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Frankie Miller, Bobby Womack, Oak Ridge Boys, Bob Dylan, Billy Vera, Jerry Wexler, Jim Ed Norman, and etc.

At 19, Dan returned to Los Angeles and started Producing and Managing such acts as Agent Steel (Combat/Relativity), Zoom Zoom (EMI), Terri Wood (Polygram), Candy (Curb), Overdose (Fierce), The Doughboys (A&M), Mother's Army (JVC), West Arkeen, Love On ice (Interescope), and a dozen other independent and major label recording artists.

Eventually opening Sonic Underground, McConomy created a very successful independent Label/Promotions and Marketing Company with an impressive client and roster that included Dr. Dre (Concrete Roots), Ice T, 2 Live Crew, Black Sabbath, UFO, LA DREAM TEAM, Godhead, The Mustard Seeds, +60 other artists and labels until INDI went bankrupt in 2001.

Signing with Sony/Orchard has allowed the label to have a worldwide reach.
